Homemade Pesto

Hello Readers.

Yesterday I made Pesto.

This is my version:

Blend some basil leaves with a splash of olive oil, 1 teaspoon of garlic paste, 3 chopped tomatoes. I would have preferred to have added some pine nuts but the only ones I had at home were from 2007 and were soft so I threw them in the bin. You can just pour the pesto cold over cooked pasta, or zap in the microwave for 2 minutes.
I went to Aldi today and bought some pistacio nuts for when I next make some pesto.

I hope to be getting a bit of baking done tomorrow and if I do, I hope to blog the recipes with pics.
